Acknowledgements on the 12th International Triticale Symposium in Lanzhou, China
30 May – 3 June 2025
On behalf of the International Triticale Association (ITA), we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all those who made the 12th International Triticale Symposium a successful event. Held from 30 May to 3 June 2025 in Lanzhou, P.R. China, the symposium was expertly organized and hosted by the Gansu Agricultural University and the Chinese Grassland Society, with the support of various esteemed co-organizers. We would especially like to thank Professor Wenhua Du from Gansu Agricultural University for her outstanding work as Vice Director of the Symposium in making it such a success.
From the very first day, participants were met with a warm and generous welcome. The local organizers ensured that every aspect of the event was professionally and smoothly arranged. With around 300 participants in attendance, the symposium brought together a diverse community of researchers, scientists and stakeholders not only from China but from across the globe (Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Romania,…).
The scientific program reflected the high standards and ongoing innovation within the global triticale community. Attendees were treated to a series of engaging keynote lectures, thematic sessions and poster presentations—all of which showcased research of outstanding scientific quality and relevance. The symposium also featured a well-organized field excursion, offering participants the opportunity to visit several key research platforms in the region, further enriching the exchange of knowledge.
Beyond the formal program, the symposium provided ample opportunities for networking, collaboration and cultural exchange, fostering stronger connections and renewed energy for future research and development in triticale.
We express our appreciation to the hosts, partners and all attendees for their valuable contributions to the success of this event. We are confident that the discussions and ideas shared during the symposium will continue to inspire innovation and cooperation within the triticale research community.
